The appearance of Formida products is very similar to wood, which can be used as a perfect choice for board, rather than a substitute for wood.

Formida products can be heated and bent, the functionality of the product after such treatment cannot be guaranteed and is exempt from liability. We recommend that such design and work should be evaluated and operated by an engineer or professional installer.

Can, but not required. Because Formida products are low maintenance products and do not need to be painted or oiled. Paint or oil is only attached to the surface of the board. If you still want to oil or paint, it may be like wood, and you need to re-oil or re-paint regularly.

Like most flooring products, Formida's floor will lose some slip resistance when wet, but it can still meet the minimum slip resistance requirements set by HSE. In order to ensure better anti-skid performance of the product, it is very important to maintain the cleanliness of the board.

Will. Almost everything fades when exposed to sunlight and other weather conditions for a long time. Fumeida products add high-quality UV-resistant toner and use hardwood fibers (softwood fibers fade more easily than hardwood fibers) to reduce the risk of fading, but for things with a textured appearance, there will still be visible fading after several months (the process and degree of fading will vary according to actual weather conditions). As with other wood-based products, discoloration occurs but the plastic contained therein retains the color. Any original color difference is due to the natural color difference of the wood fiber. Once affected by weather conditions, these boards will produce similar colors.

Can't. Please do not use any glue to fix the plates or fill the gaps between the plates. This approach will destroy the drainage of the plate, natural expansion and other properties.

Fumeida products are a product with a unique formula, and the best fire performance we can achieve is B1. Unlike wood, wood-plastic products are solid and have no pores, so they are not easy to be ignited. If they are ignited, when the fire source is removed, the wood-plastic products will automatically extinguish and will not burn into liquid drops like plastic.

when there are large temperature changes, especially when exposed to the sun in hot weather, wood plastic products will expand slightly. However, Formida products are uniquely formulated to minimize the effects of rising temperatures. If you follow our Installation Guide, there will be no problem.

If you follow the installation and maintenance guidelines mentioned above, most of the melted ice and snow can be cleaned up so that no icing occurs. However, we recommend that you use industrial salt or calcium chloride to clean or melt ice and snow. This leaves only a white residue, which can be easily removed with neutral soap or plenty of water.

Formida products are relatively hard, under normal circumstances, not easy to produce scratches or damage.

Formida products are mildew-proof, but improper storage or use can cause dust and stains on the surface of the board to become moldy. We recommend using the right amount of force to quickly clean up the mildew. In general, please do not place the board in a high humidity or sweetness environment, and keep it as dry and clean as possible.

Unlike wood, Formex products do not contain organic fillers and are relatively hard, so they are not attacked by insects.

Although our products can be used as support structures, we do not recommend this. Such work is best left to structural engineers for design or evaluation.

Yes. Groove tools may be required when installing solid panels.

Fumeida products can be applied to all kinds of weather conditions, during installation, there will be thermal expansion and contraction. Therefore, we recommend that the panels be placed in the work area to adapt to the weather 48 hours before installation.

Is to use treated cork. (This method is only suitable for self-draining and relatively dry conditions). Although cork substructures can become thin or moldy over time, these problems are not visible and are therefore acceptable. Of course, we can also provide sub-structural panels that can be used in humid environments and places with poor air circulation. Especially in humid conditions, when the floor is 1 meter higher than the ground, we recommend using plated steel beams, hardwood structures or other stronger structural materials.
